Pistons
A piston is a component of reciprocating engines, pumps and gas compressors. It is located in a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings. In an engine, its purpose is to transfer force from expanding gas in the cylinder to the crankshaft via a piston rod and/or connecting rod.

Forged Pistons

Wiseco
These forged pistons come with rings, pins, and locks pre-fitted. They are pre-coated and ready to install. Anti-detonation and pressure seal grooves, gas ports, thin ring packs, specialized forging designs, advanced skirt profiling, and extra lightening procedures are just a few features found in this line-up. You can order these at your local performance shop or through CarCustoms and TurboTechRacing.

JE

JE Forged High Silicone Aluminum Pistons are the result of hours of engineering to bring you the best possible solution to your engine building needs. We have made several key changes in the over all design to create a rigid dependable unit to provide years of trouble free use. All pistons' start with our own property CAD design, which is then transferred directly to a CNC to replicate our specifications. Key features include a relocated top ring land to improve stability when at 15psi or when boost is in use. Additionally we provide oversized wrist pins, double spiro-lock's and fitted ring sets. You can order these at your local performance shop or through TurboTechRacing.

Venolia
Entering the speed equipment market in 1946, Venolia Pistons has been an integral force in important land/marine speed records plus national/international racing championships. When it comes to pistons, Venolia and "best" are synonymous. Only available in classifieds or you must directly contact Flatlander Racing.

Cast Pistons

Hypereutectic
These pistons allow you to upgrade from stock class to a 30% stronger piston (according to Flatlander Racing). They will give you slightly more peace of mine when running boost or nitrous, but they are not much stronger than stock. These pistons have a close fit in the cylinder bores for quiet running and will outlast original cast pistons. Available at ImportPerformanceParts.

Mahle
Performance coated pistons, high quality steel pins, round wire locks and low drag performance rings. Performance coatings include a phosphate dry lubricant that is used to protect against ring micro-welding and pin galling during initial startup and break in. For added performance, MAHLE applies its proprietary Grafel anti-friction coating to each piston skirt. Available at ImportPerformanceParts.
